Morro Bay, California
August 27, 2021
This week's image, captured last year on a sleepy, foggy morning along the Central California coast, is dedicated to my wife, Lisa. She's the one who taught me to stop chasing after the prettiest or most "perfect" shot like everybody else. Instead, I try to embrace the unique details that catch my eye, no matter how abstract or obscure. A fantastic lesson.
Thelonious Monk once said that a genius is the one that is most like himself. I'm no genius, but I think the best photographs are those that reflect a photographer's unique way of seeing the world.
